I found the whole experience of looking at cars in the lot, deciding on a vehicle and then going through the process of buying a new 2015 Impreza a much more pleasant experience than I had anticipated at Subaru Nanaimo. The contrast between my experiences of looking for a vehicle in Victoria, which were at times unpleasant, finding the dealers pushy, with way too much pressure to buy, couldn't have been more different from my experience with the sales team at Subaru Nanaimo. At Nanaimo the team couldn't have been more friendly and helpful with absolutely no undue pressure. I would like to particularly mention Richard Charley as the main salesman who was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and he never piled on any pressure at all. He was a great guy! Also Ken Taylor as the financial guy was very pleasant and easy to deal with. The whole team and atmosphere about the dealership was relaxed and friendly. Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and no pressure. Relaxed atmosphere. The refreshments were great too. Had dealings with the manager, the trainee salesman, the financial manager and the salesman and all were good.

The test drive loop which Richard Charley took us on showed us how well the Forester could handle on curves and steep hills and demonstrated the car's capabilities. He was very well versed in all of the car's features and communicated well and answered all of our questions. An Easy, Pleasant Experience

This was an easy, pleasant experience. I traveled to Nanaimo from Victoria, because I was having trouble getting help from Saunders Subaru in Victoria. At the Nanaimo dealership I was treated with respect, kindness and humor, and buying my car was a lovely, stress-free experience. It was definitely worth the two-hour trip to buy my car at Subaru of Nanaimo. My first interactions with Subaru of Nanaimo were so welcoming compared to my experiences on the phone and on the lot at Saunders Subaru, that I felt a two-hour drive was worth the effort. I was right.

Supreme Customer Service Standard

After a traumatic car accident, having to find a replacement vehicle was stressful enough. My husband and I were debating between Toyota and Subaru. However the customer service, respect, no pressure sales and honesty that Richard Charley our sales person gave me was the reason we chose Subaru...plus the performance, safety and bottom line price that we got for an outstanding vehicle. Overall, Subaru Nanaimo, by far out performed the other dealerships between Parksville and Duncan that we dealt with.

Respect as a woman buying a vehicle apparently is something still rare in the vehicle business as I experienced with other dealerships. Not once did I ever feel that this was an issue with Subaru Nanaimo. I was an equal buyer like anyone else walking in to purchase a vehicle. Richard listened to my needs, my fears, my frustrations and wants and made it all happen! it was AMAZING.

Not much in way of parking space but was able to find some. It didn't deter my intentions of buying. RECEPTION STAFF was also AMAZING! I had to bring my children at one point and they brought out crayons and cookies for them and kept an eye on them while I was talking with the salesperson/manager. Something that was never provided elsewhere when I tried to speak with salespeople. It was an added "extra touch" that really provided a supreme customer service standard to the Subaru family name.

So overall, this was one of the best vehicle purchasing processes I have ever experienced.

"I live in Comox (1 1/2 hrs. away), and when I first called Subaru of Nanaimo to inquire if they had a Forester on the lot with the features I was looking for, I spoke with Michael and he gladly spent some time discussing my request. He also followed up by sending me a video of the Forester in the showroom that I was interested in, as well as a phone call from Nick to ensure I received the video and to answer any questions. My partner and I drove to Nanaimo 3 days later to look at the Forester. We encountered friendly staff, a nice new facility (and great coffee too!). I had the best test drive experience with Nick, where I had a chance to encounter different road conditions in order to try out a Subaru for the first time. Since we were from out of town, they were very accommodating in streamlining my purchase, so I could drive my new Forester back home in the same afternoon. So overall, this was one of the best vehicle purchasing processes I have ever experienced."

Salesman Nick Testini was exceptional!!!

"Salesman Nick Testini was exceptional!!! He provided more than excellent service, picking me up from a ferry, effectively conveying my wish for a speedy transaction to all of the staff concerned so that I could make the return ferry on time. Just terrific. I have driven 4/all-wheel drive Toyota's for the last thirty years... I wanted a new vehicle, standard all-wheel drive. A knowledgeable friend recommended the Impreza (he drives a souped up model)... He was right. Again, I have to state that Nick and all of the staff took great care... The great treatment I received from my salesperson, the price they gave me, and they had the vehicle I wanted. 10 out of 10! This was my first experience with Subaru's and Subaru of Nanaimo. Soon, I will be living nearby and will be maintaining the vehicle through the service department, the experience with which I hope will be as pleasant and reassuring as the sales department."

"I give this experience a 10 out of 10! Subaru of Nanaimo is a very energizing experience. All staff are friendly and very helpful. Buying a vehicle is stressful and the staff go a long way to reducing the stress and making the experience of getting a new car pleasant and memorable. I have purchased a vehicle from Subaru of Nanaimo previously and my previous experience with the Subaru of Nanaimo Service and Parts departments is also great. In addition to being a great vehicle, our new Subaru Outback provides all the options we want in a vehicle at a lower price than any other vehicle we looked at. This year I think we researched every brand of vehicle available and service in the Nanaimo-Parksville area. We particularly appreciate working with Michael Price, former salesperson, now Sales Manager. Over three Outbacks, Michael consistently remembers what it is we are looking for in a vehicle and helps us review other options, but we always return to the Outback. I am a long time customer of Subaru of Nanaimo. They great treatment I received from my salesperson, the price they gave me, the way I was treated, the amount for my trade-in, the location, the excellent service department- all of it contributes to why I purchased my Outback at Subaru of Nanaimo. The business side of the experience was also excellent. Every step was seamless to the next. We came away with what we wanted with absolutely no pressure to accept options that were not right for us. The new delivery set up is also super. Even though the day we picked up our new Subaru was a very busy day in the sales pavilion, we were given all the time we needed by Nick and the other staff involved with the process. The new facility is more conveniently located for us. I am completely happy with our new Subaru Crosstrek.

"We had no intention of buying a new car the day we went to look, but Nick did such a great job of showing us the car, pointing out the features, that we took one for a test drive and bought it right then... we love the car, thank you!
